Technic is a launcher, community and large group of modpacks created by the Technic Team. History
Technic originated as a pocket-sized modpack named Technic released in Beta one.seven by KakerMix on Something Awful. Controversy
- KakerMix, the modpack author, did non originally ask the modern authors permission to distribute their mods. - Upon request to add Technic Launcher to Flathub, the Technic team refused to negotiate permission to redistribute the launcher. Stating "Anyone that is not the Technic team isn't authorized." in reference to redistributing the launcher. This is in directly violation of their claim in the launcher about which states information technology is licensed under GPLV3 & "Which means that you can redistribute information technology to whoever you like and even modify it yourself"" [7]
