How To Cancel A Dropbox Upload
Urgent: How to get Dropbox to stop uploading!
Howdy all
I'k a samsung s3 user.
My dropbox ripped all my photos, sound, music, videos and has been uploading them for almost 24 hours now. I need this to stop considering I've just had a data usage alarm every bit I'll take to pay masses if it continues. I have tried everything to delete it, uninstall information technology, to finish it, to clear it - everything!
Ugh help!!
Cheers

Possinbly in the settings section of Dropbox - a toggle to dis-able all photos etc upload. (Also a section to only upload what has just been taken)
Yet, I'g on a dissimilar operating system so the options may be different - worth a look.

Thanks!
Got into settings and unlinked it from my device. It seems to have stopped it. Their online website isn't v skilful tbh. All I desire to do is delete everything in this dropbox and uninstall it from my phone! but as it came preloaded tin can't do that?
I retrieve I've gone over three times my data bundle allowance with this mess. Not happy.

First switch off mobile information if y'all are near your limit
Second take you tried the carte du jour button in the dropbox application, surely in that location must be a way to configure what and how it syncs

I didn't think dropbox automobile uploaded music, simply videos and pictures. Videos will be what's wrecking your data usage.
Anyway, simply beneath the Unlink Device from Dropbox settings are the camera upload settings. One of those is Upload Using - set that to wifi only and it will only upload them when it'due south got a wifi connection, thus protecting your data usage cap. Of grade if you accept a data cap on your wifi as well it won't be much employ
non sure if you tin remove it (other than by putting a not stock rom on information technology) but yous could ask in https://forums.dropbox.com

Run dropbox, press Bill of fare => settings. In the camera upload section, select "turn off camera upload" (this will say "turn on camera upload" if its turned of). Underneath this option is "upload using". From this option you can select "Wifi only" or "wifi or data programme".
I believe by default this is turned off by default. You (or someone) must have turned information technology on. When you turn it on, information technology then asks you lot the upload method (wifi, or wifi and information plan).

It clearly shows you the option whether you want to (motorcar) upload when y'all're installing it. User error, not the apps mistake
Possibly getting an unlimited plan would help?

Its a system app, so you can not uninstall it unless you lot take root admission. The phone came with the app, every bit it gave y'all 50GB of dropbox space for a couple of years.
If y'all dont want to utilize it, dont 'log in' to the app.

Whats unfair?
Information technology is a timesaver and permanent certificate store used properly.

If you lot have Google+ on the phone also check that isn't uploading all your pictures. That i is a little sneakier equally it was set up to auto upload on i of my phones (tin can't remember if it was the S2 or 3)
Click on Google+, press bottom left push and select settings information technology will say in there if it'southward on auto upload.

Slightly off topic, but I have establish Dropbox to be far ameliorate than the iOS Photo Stream or any other method of getting photos off my phone. It just uploads them when information technology finds a wifi network, and there they are set for me to drag to whatever folder I desire. I really like the fact that it isn't dictating to me when/where my photos will become (unlike the inbuilt iOS stuff and iPhoto).
